Use - the most useful method would be on pillows or blankets. Placing 1-2 drops on the material would allow the oil to disperse. It would relax the pet and the owner. This is especially important at night when the young puppy/kitten or older cognitively impaired dog/cat is needing rest.
The blend can used for separation anxiety, storm anxiety, fireworks or any stressful event. The idea is to calm the pet so behavior can modified by various training methods. The blend works to calm the owner as well so training is most efficient and the family does not get frustrated with the pet.
Young Living Roll-ons:
Stress Away
Rutalvala
Valor
Tranquil-
All three of these are used for stress relief in the cat and dog. They are used interchangeably depending on the pet's stage of stress , trauma, or conditioning. Each pet has a different body chemistry and so different oils have more or less effect on them in a given situation. Essential oils do not have the toxic effects on the body as do some medications. The oils can modify the behavior by their chemical makeup. They are safe to use with other methods of behavior modification. Sometimes all the pet needs is the ability to relax enough so training can be used to relieve stress. The roll-ons can be used from puppy to adulthood, can used for storms, loud noises, or unusual noises that cause fear, are helpful when used for grief due to loss of companion or family member, assist in rescue pets when they are new to a shelter or home, for introduction of new pet, baby, or when someone leaves, for boarding to help encouraging eating during this time. The roll-ons are often used with other means of care as well as part of complete care program. The ease of use is the best part of the roll-ons. Stress-away is the first one to start with. It provides for calm but does not result in a tired feel. Valor is good for those pets who must overcome obstacles be it emotional or physical. It can be combined with other roll-ons or oils. Rutavala is the strongest combination and has been know to put some pets to sleep with the profound calming. It is especially helpful to calm pets during boarding, surgical recovery , separation, and storms.
